Our distinguished speakers will offer their perspectives on the impact that COVID-19 is having on African Americans in regards to Education. They will discuss:
· how school closures are affecting the accessibility of community based services (i.e. free lunch, after school and tutoring programs),
· the financial impact on "lesser-resourced" Historically Black Colleges and Universities,
· the heightened cyber security risks for families and school districts as a record number of students attend school via online educational technology platforms, e-learning environments and video conferencing, and
· the increased impact on students from undeserved communities, particularly the digital disparities and the widening learning gap.
